• Who is eligible to use CPNW?

  All students who have a comfirmed placement at one of our member hospitals.

• How do I get an account with CPNW?

  Before students can register to use the CPNW web application an account must be set up by your school. Once that is complete you will receive an account creation code from your school and you may register at cpnw.org/account/register.

Schools

• Who do I contact for placement?

  Program representatives should contact the healthcare organization where placement is desired.

• How does our school create a CPNW account?

  Each program that has students being placed at a member hospital must contact support@cpnw.org and request an account.

• If an Out of State Nursing Program has not had previous clinical placements in Washington State who do they contact?

  You may contact the Nursing Commission at 360-236-4711 or email at nursing@doh.wa.gov

Healthcare Organizations

• How is the consortium funded?

  Annual fees are assessed to both education and healthcare members.

• Does the consortium facilitate placement in the ambulatory setting?

  CPNW only offers placement services for member nursing programs in the state of Washington and Idaho. Placement is currently facilitated into the acute training sites at this time. We have 34 major healthcare organizations within Washington and Idaho States.

• What efforts does the consortium offer to creatively manage clinical experiences?

  Collaboration is a key value of CPNW. Members meet on a regular basis to resolve placement challenges and to strategically plan on best approaches to meet the clinical learning needs of all students.

• Is information being gathered to look at training practices for best outcomes?

  CPNW has launched their first pilot survey of student, faculty and staff of the clinical learning environment. Results are now being analyzed and will soon be available to all members.
